Getting DCD approval is necessary to ensure the safety of your restaurant or other fit-out project in the UAE, specifically Dubai. As the well distinguished Apollo fire alarm system supplier in UAE, Lockshield Cart is here to share a general overview of the process:
Prepare Documents and Drawings
You’ll need detailed plans outlining your fit-out design, including safety features and adherence to building codes. Compile other required documents, like the contractor’s trade license and a DCD fire code invoice. LOCK SHIELD FIRE FIGHTING & SAFETY EQUIPMENT INSTALLATIONLLC helps you to prepare design as per civil defense requirements.
Submit for Approval
The application for DCD approval typically needs to be typed in Arabic. One of the foundational steps in the DCD fit-out approval process is the submission of comprehensive fit-out drawings, including fire and safety plans, as well as other relevant drawings. These drawings serve as a visual representation of the proposed fit-out design and are crucial for demonstrating compliance with fire safety regulations and other DCD requirements. You may need an approved company like LOCK SHIELD FIRE FIGHTING & SAFETY EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION LLC’s signature before submitting for the approval.
Contractor Registration with DCD
Contractors undertaking fit-out projects in Dubai must be registered with the Dubai Civil Defense. This registration ensures that contractors have met the necessary qualifications and standards set by DCD, including expertise in fire safety measures and compliance with regulatory requirements.
